Dalida worries every day that some how someway there will be no money to buy the items needed. ANDTHE ANIMALS WILL SUFFER!

please help her get over that huge worry... all she really wants is for the animals to survive, but more then survive to be happy and healthy and well loved..

She really needs help right now today/tonight!...right now!she does not have all the items needed for the amount of time the stores will be closed! So her rescues will be with out!!

please please can we send her something any amount she needs about 460.00 euros but it must be right now, all but in one or two days because the stores will be closed and the animals will go with out...

Dalida says this is what is worring her and what rescuing   has done for her parents...

from Dalida' post....I think that my parents won't be happy to see this post but I really want to show you how rescuing of animals and seeing so much suffering and atrocities as well as constant 24/7 work affects people. The first picture had been taken in 2013 and the rest of pictures were taken this year. These are mine parents. Yes.. the same people before and after 7 years.They take care of rescues and the shelter and they have seen too much suffering and sadness but none of us have given up and we are fully dedicated to helping and rescuing animals. 

However every time when I panick, I do that because I must protect my rescues no matter what and I do that because I have seen what happens when they are alone and unprotected.

As you can see all that affects even the way people look, imagine how we constantly feel. And once again thank you for all your help and understanding

Living in the fear... I have always been too serious for my age but I have never felt such need to express my worries and feelings as in the recent period of time.

I think a lot about rescuing and everything we, rescuers, do. I have learnt that animals in need and rescues have one main thing in common. That thing is FEAR.


Stray animals have fear of being hungry, thirsty, injured, haunted, tortured and killed. They live in constant fear. Stray animals are exposed to unimaginable suffer. They can't find food or water, they are often sick, they can't get help they need, they don't have a safe place to hide from the bad weather, they don't have a safe place to sleep and they are chased by dog catchers and killers.

Rescuers also live in constant fear. We all accept responsibility for lives of animals. We are faced with suffering every day, but also we fight with fear. When we save an animal we are under huge pressure to provide her everything she needs. 

First of all I am worried about the health condition of the saved animal, then my worry is to provide food for the animal and keep the shelter running. Since I have a lot saved animals, I live in constant fear of diseases, injuries, loosing the shelter for saved animals because of money, veterinary bills.. we are under constant pressure to buy food, to find homes, to help other animals, to pay costs, to provide better care for animals, to find a good vet.. we are dealing with XXXXXX and XXXX veterinary inspectors.. our lives are the way from one to another stress, but it is worth every saved life.

We make the difference, we are the voice of THE voiceless. We have the best reasons to win the fear and those reasons are our rescued animals and animals that still need us. We save them from their fears and accept living in the fear to provide the best future for them.

Many people say that I am brave. Thank you for that  I don't consider myself being brave, but I believe that my love can win everything and that my aim can protect me and my rescues. 

There is no justice in Bosnia and because of that   ....we live in such "deformed" society, but dedication can do a lot and animals deserve our dedication.

What she needs is some people to start monthly donations of a certain amount of money. That way she knows what she can depend on... just like we do with our pay checks.. It is a wonder she does not have horrible ulcers with all the fear this generates. the monthly donation does not have to be big just faithfully sent every month.  2 or 3 euros would do a great deal for her fear! if sent faithfully.

The Worst Year For Donations

WHY? 

Looking back at the different blogs made every month, You can see this pattern... that most people are not giving donations; and when they do it hurts their budgets. What is happening? Now it is WINTER and the rescues need even more money to help the strays. More and different foods, and straw to help keep them warm and if you have your own pension as Dalida Kozlic does, there is the utility bills and land payment.

I think about how cold it is here and KNOW it is much colder in Europe, because I have been there. I hate being cold, I'm sure you reading this do not like being cold either.  BUT, this is what is happening to all the stray animals...THEY ARE COLD AND HUNGRY! It is horrible being cold, but even worse if you are cold and hungry...That is what is facing the stray animals still out on the streets all over Eastern Europe.

You may not think that a couple euros would help a rescue pay it's bills, but if everyone would give just two euros  all the bills would be paid. Just think about it.. would 2 euros hurt your budget? Most likely not, but that is up to you.

Then there is  Andjeo Sarajevo it is registered charity based in Sarajevo, BiH..This rescue is run by Edina Pasic.

She also has problems getting donations for cats, she has 50, I think she said once a few weeks back...all in foster care. plus all the dogs she has rescued! Again money is desperately needed!

 

While driving in the car, on the opposite side of the road i saw a tiny kitten sitting in a bus stop next to a busy road... 😓 We pulled over and I was instantly covered in cold sweat because as i was approaching the kitten, i was afraid that she will run into the road and get herself killed :( i was calling her to come to me and i crackled the bag of food and thank God she came.. she is so tiny.. maybe five months old.. she was waiting for something on that bus stop.. what that is, i dont know.. with all of my debt for cats that i currently have, i couldn't just feed her and leave her there, because i come across dead cats on a daily basis.. could someone sponsor this baby?... she needs 55e per month until she find a home 54e vet preparations 35e for neutering and gas and 40e for fiv/felv/fip test.... 184e is total she needs... Dear friends, I have been trying not to panick but days are passing so quickly and this month is really tough for me and the shelter. 

First of all l not only that food must be bought and paid by the end of the month but also I must store food for at least 7 to 10 days of Jan because everything is dead here during holidays and there are many non working days. 

Also it is cold and snowy. The rate must be paid by the 10th Dec and then all other bills. In the first week of Jan the inspection will check vaccinations and I must revaccinate dogs in the shelter. We came across this older tomcat today, weather has been freezing, windy and rainy all day long.
We went to visit some of our dogs and this older fella appeared to my feet.
Just one look at his face was enough to tell that he needed veterinarian. Rather sooner than later, he has horribly leaky infected eyes and really bad cough, barely able to breathe.

We asked could we at least take the poor cat to vet to get it examined and tested for FIV/ FELV and to get some antibiotics and eye drops before the infection destroys his eyes.
First answer was that cat is used to be outside all life, it is OK and has always been healthy.
After few attempts we finally talked owner over to let us to take him at vet right away and off we went with him with a promise to return him the same night.
At vet the true condition of the poor fella was apparent, he is dehydrated, FIV and Corona positive, has massive eye infection and nasty upper respiratory infection.
After the test result and phone call to his owner, who was mildly put horrified and did not understand how and where the unneutered male cat could have gotten the virus he finally offered if we'd like to keep the cat.
All this time this battered elderly tomcat was purring like broken engine on my lap simply just enjoying the fact that he was warm.
So, he is now staying overnight at clinic, but unless we can find him a sponsor for the 50 e month accommodation fee at clinic and funds to pay the vet costs right away he will need to return to his old life tomorrow.
Our vet has been more than patient with our bills so as much as I'd like to I can't expect him to stretch more for any new arrival.
Can we please find him a sponsor so he can stay warm and safe?
And can we please find funds for his vet care and therapy to get this amazingly gentle old boy back on his feet?

They don’t believe in borders, helping rescuers with both cats and dogs wherever needed……whenever possible taking in to their care animals, treating their medical needs and keeping them safe until hopefully homes for them can be found <3

Despite the horrendous struggle and the stress of never knowing if the money will be raised, they continue to be there for those animals most desperately in need. <3
 
They have only just raised the funds to cover September’s costs which leaves them trying to raise approximately €2,500 for October and November and in ADDITION to this they have a HUGE vet debt of €5,000! :(

Some of these costs are old debts for animals who have been treated and found homes. Sadly, some didn’t make it but of course the debt remains. :(

Today is exactly 23 days since we rescued our fighter Ziggy... 💔

I am still in shock and everything hurts... Can't stop crying... The look in his eyes when I saw him and the will to live gave us all hope that we'll make it... Ziggy was rescued from Mostar... Sadly almost every dog in Mostar is positive for Leishmania cause there are a lot of rivers, ponds, lakes etc... Not so much in Sarajevo... Ziggy is one of three dogs I rescued with Leishmania and all three were from Mostar two of them survived but they were not in such a bad state that Ziggy was in... Thanks to Petra we also got a very expensive syrup for this disease and Ziggy started treatment... He had a lot of love and everything he needed thanks to Merima and Franjo ( his fosters) .. No one thought this day would come.... He ate better than most humans do he had a great appetite he also started gaining weight and we were all happy for him... And then a huge change. Last night he refused to eat and got a bad diarrhea, black diarrhea, multiple times and he just started getting worse.... He spent the entire day today at the vet and apart from everything his kidneys were failing he got ticks that shook his entire body... 💔 A shock overnight 😔 all of this with him completely broke me... THE HARDEST DECISION IN THIS LIFE OF RESCUING IS WHEN YOU HAVE TO LET THEM GO... THE HEART WANTS TO JUMP OUT OF THE CHEST... AND NOTHING CAN CALM YOU DOWN... I AM TORN AND I CAN SEE IN HIS EYES HE'S BEGGING ME TO LET HIM GO... CAUSE HE CAN'T DO IT ANYMORE.... I'm looking at him and holding him and crying, we say goodbye and my Ziggy just goes away. I would scream, and curse and kill the owner who did this to him... But all this was too late for him 😔 I so wanted him to be ok and to have a happy ending... 😢 He had a few offers for a home... Honestly I don't know what to write anymore... Thank you to Merima and Neira who were there for him today... I'll never get used to this...

It's just a sad horrible day... But I couldn't prolong his pain and agony anymore cause today I've seen he was tired of it all... I don't hurt animals and I never will...i rescue them and try to give them best life with your help... But this is just so so hard... My heart is breaking and I can't stop crying... Thank you all who were by Ziggy since the day he was rescued supported him and believed as we all did here that he'll be well... His destiny was different and no amount of love and medication could have affected it... He was rescued too late.... If he was rescued a month or two earlier I can guarantee he would have lived... Damn his owner... I am sorry we lost this battle... I really loved him and I know you all did too... I am sorry my friends if I could do anything, my own blood, any organ for him I would have done it in a heartbeat... I love you Ziggy very much... I'll see you one day again... Say hi to all those friends up in Heaven.... Nothing hurts anymore baby.....💔 if anyone wants in Ziggy memory to support his friends who have huge December debt THANK YOU... I can't begin to explain the feeling when you feed the cats every two days,
that I have spayed and brought back to where they were after spaying and made
sure that their kittens they don't get hit by cars, that they don't have kittens who
will be poisoned and then I hear one of them crying in pain I turn around and his
paw is literally hanging, obviously broken. I ask around cause these cats live near
a gypsy family they said that one of the gypsies who is not from their family has hit
her with a metal rod cause he doesn't like cats and and that's why he hit her...

Damn him... I kill myself raising money to spay/neuter these cats to raise for food,
for gas, to reduce the reproduction of cats so that the kittens don't get killed by
monsters and then this monster goes and does this... 😡 The cat spent the night at my
house and she's now at the clinic where they'll try to save the leg by fixation or by
implanting a plate... On top of all the debt I have for cats this is just what I needed...
It's a cursed life living with people who hate animals... Something new every day 😔
please help, I am asking all of you please.

AS SOON AS SANTA REALIZED WHAT WAS HAPPENING HE ASKED US TO HELP HIM HELP THE RESCUES PAY THE BILLS THAT WAS CREATED SAVING STRAY DOGS AND CATS. HE ASKED US TO DONATE MONEY TO THE RESCUES!

FEEDING AN ANIMAL IS VERY IMPORTANT GOOD BASIC FOOD WILL HELP THE ANIMAL FIGHT OFF SICKNESSES. KEEPING THE STRAY ANIMAL WARM IS JUST AS IMPORTANT

THESE BED AREAS ARE FULL OF STRAW, THE DOGS CAN DIG IN THE STRAW AN MAKE A TUNNEL OF STRAW TO SLEEP IN AND STAY WARM..

??FOOD - it is freezing, dogs eat more and we need some wet food, bread, meat etc

 ?? MATERIALS - parts of shelter have been flooded, we are fixing damage but due awful weather it is so difficult

?? BLANKETS, VITAMINS - Pet shop where we GET supplIES has a discount so it would be great to get products to keep rescues healthy.

? ANNUITY for shelter to be paid by the 28th Dec (THE LAND PAYMENT- I THINK IT IS 500 EUROS)

THE BALKIN MOUNTAIN RANGE IS VERY COLD DURING THE WINTER, IT HAS BEEN FOUND AS LOW AS 40 BELOW... CAN YOU IMAGE LIVING OUTSIDE YOU LIKE THE STRAYS WOULD FREEZE TO DEATH.  PLEASE HELP THEM. BY HELPING TO BUY THE ITEMS NEEDED FOR THEM TO STAY WARM..
