We are Andjeo Sarajevo, a registered charity based in Sarajevo, Bosnia Herzegovina.

Andjeo means ‘Angel’. Our mission is for the care, medical treatment and sheltering of abandoned and lost animals, humane reduction of abandoned animals population and microchipping animals.

Our special focus is on street dogs, organising education workshops and developing culture and raising consciousness regarding care for weak, powerless, rejected, sick, unprotected, handicapped and unaccepted animals.

We also have initiatives for construction of animal shelter/rescue for abandoned animals.

We were formed by Edina and Aldin Pašić, who are primarily involved in all activities of the association. We have been focused on animal rescue and welfare for many years and devote our lives to helping the strays of Sarajevo.

Administrative assistance is provided by animal advocate and rescuer Alica Curtovic, and Andjeo Sarajevo frequently work together with other animal welfare organizations, both in Bosnia-Herzegovina and with international groups.

We rely 100% on donations from our supporters around the world. Help is always needed for emergency cases of animal abuse or injury, for food for the strays on the streets of Sarajevo and to keep rescued strays safe in pension or foster until we find homes for them.
